In 2014,  the most common crime in San Francisco is Larceny/Theft, which happens most commonly around 6PM in the evening and in the SOUTHERN district.  The number of incidents have grown month to month from June to August, and happens slightly more often over the weekend than week days. 

Larceny/Theft Is The Most Common Crime

Figure 1 is a histogram of the frequency of each crime category.  It can be seen that Larceny/Theft category is the most common crime in San Francisco in 2014.

In Figure 2, the x axis is hour of day, and the y axis is the number of larceny/theft incidents in the hour.  It can be seen that the number of larceny/theft crime peaks at 6pm.

In figure 3, the x axis is the month over the summer in 2014, and the y axis is the number of larceny/theft incidents in each month.  It can be seen that there is a growth of the crime month to month from June to August. 

Larceny/Theft is slightly more common over weekend.

In figure 4, the x axis is day of week, and the y axis is the number of larceny/theft crime in each day.  From this chart, it can be seen that larceny/theft happens slightly more common over the weekend.  

Larceny/Theft happens more commonly in the SOUTHERN district. 

In figure 5, the x axis are districts in San Francisco, and the y axis is the number of larceny/theft crime in each district.  It can be seen that larceny/theft crime is most common in the SOUTHERN district.
